Finland joined NATO after some failed Russian saber ratling. German 57th panzergrenadier-division (57th PZG) and US 44th Marine division (44th USM) got quickly deployed to finland in order to conduct heavily mediatized exercices. Moscow was unhappy to get out-propagandized, and deployed 78th Guard rifle division (78th GRD), making sure to outfit it whit top of line gear.

That was the situation before WW3 started. You don't know how it happened, and who fired the first shoot. Communication were clear for a few hour after the war started, but it did not last long. Extensive E-war and startegic bombing campagne made inter-division coordination almost impossible. The last transmission you got from russian high command was an order invade finland and push NATO out. You intend to carry these order out.

SITREP

78th GDR is pushing into finish heartland allong the Ruha corridor. German 57th PZG and 44th USM have deployed to counter the russian advance. Bypassing is not an option for 78th GRD. The Russian forward security element; callsign "Regal"; is preparing to assault the entreched defenders.

OBJECTIVES

• Break through 57th Panzergrenadier defense
  • Capture Ruha
  • Capture/destroy the construction site South of ruha, and annihilate german forces in the area
• Wipe out the vanguard of 44th US Marine Division
  • Destroy their forward barracks and motor pool
  • Capture the ruha airfield
